Congrats to Sarsfields Junior hurlers who retained the Avondhu/Impkilly league with an impressive 0-15 to 1-9 victory over Erin’s Own at Fermoy this evening. With veteran Brian Mc Carthy leading from the front, Sars were full value for the win and lead at the break 0-8 to 0-3. Despite a brief rally from our opponents, Sars re-grouped in the final minutes to run out deserving winners.At the conclusion of the game the hard working captain Rory Duggan was presented with the league trophy. Robert O’Driscoll was the deserving recipient of the Man Of The Match Award.
