Could I ask all our readers to raise a glass and toast the magnificent men of 1951 who brought the first County Title back to Sarsfields. Yes, 60 years ago today the 7th October 1951 was possibly the greatest day in the history of our club when we overcame the mighty Glen Rovers to win the title in spectacular fashion. A day to remember, and certainly not to be forgotten in the history of Sarsfields Senior Hurling Club.
