The death has occurred of Sarsfields stalwart William ‘Bowler’ Walsh. He played a starring role in his favourite left half back position in the 1957 County Final Victory. He always maintained contact with Sarsfields, and was a familiar figure at his fellow ’57 team member, Fr. Martin Barry’s Annual Club Mass. His Father also known as ‘Bowler’, was County Board Chairman during Cork’s famous Four In A Row in the Forties. Ar Dheis De go raibh a anam.
